Pittsburgh Post Gazette - May 4, 1863
HERRON-On Saturday morning, May 2d, at 3 ˝ o’clock, Col. John Herron, aged 71 
years.

The friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on 
Tuesday afternoon, from his late residence, in Minersville.  Carriages will 
leave from Sixth street, near Wood, at 2 o’clock.

John Herron is interred in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 
Section 3, Lot 3
