His remains were taken to his residence on Webster avenue, between High and Tunnel streets. He was a married man, but had no children. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: John HINDS, aged 53 years, married, laborer, died October 15, 1878, railroad accident; born in Ireland; lived at 29 Webster Avenue; burial in Troy Hill Catholic Cemetery on October 16, 1878. (It is my understanding that all burials in Troy Hill Catholic Cemetery were re-interred to a new cemetery in 1889, possibly what is now known as Christ the Redeemer Cemetery.)
