from The Pittsburgh Press dated Friday, December 7 1888  (page 6):

Miss Ida HOOPER, aged 37, of Mt Washington, died on Wednesday evening.
 She was an invalid and had been ill a long time.  Her funeral service
takes place at Mt Washington M E church this afternoon at 3 o'clock.

from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records:

Ida HOOPER, aged 36 years 11 months 5 days, died December 5 1888,
typhoid fever; daughter of Samuel and M J HOOPER; born at Columbia
(sic) Co Ohio; lived on Kersage Street, 32nd Ward; burial in Allegheny
Cemetery on December 7 1888.

NOTES:
Found family in Columbiana Co OH in earlier census (1850, 1860).
Mother's name is Maria.
