HOPKINS is employed as an assistant baggagemaster on the milk car on train No. 4, that reaches Pittsburg about -:40 am. Just before the train reached Saw Mill Run this morning HOPKINS stepped to the door of the car and looked out. He was struck by the framework of the trestle which spans the run and was knocked from the car. One arm was badly fractured and and he was injured internally. Deceased was in his 28th year. (under an article titled, Coroner's Inquest Held) from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Paul YANOK, age 26 years, single, laborer, died July 8, 1896, in West Penn Hospital from injuries received on the railroad; son of John and Lizzie YANOK, both from Hungary; born in Hungary; lived in Allegheny City; burial in St Mary's Cemetery on July 9, 1896. Francis HOPKINS, age 27 years, single, brakeman, died July 8, 1896, from injuries received on the P & LE railroad; son of Thomas and Mary HOPKINS, both of Ireland; born in Pittsburgh; lived at 616 Brownsville Avenue; burial in Calvary Cemetery on July 11, 1896.
