Mr. E. MULL, Mrs. PENN, Mrs. CHESTNUT and Mr. Elmer SPEER 
attended the military funeral of Thomas HOWELL in Finleyville, Sunday. Mr. 
HOWELL was a nephew of Mrs. PENN and had seen a year's fighting "over 
there." Mr. HOWELL was just nineteen when he died. The funeral service was 
very impressive about two thousand being present, many of whom carried black 
draped flags.
