JOHNSTON - On Friday, June 17, at 9:20 pm, Charles JOHNSTON, in the
89th year of his age. Funeral from the residence of his son, J G
JOHNSTON, 227 Main street, Allegheny, on Monday, June 20. Friends of
the family are respectfully invited to attend.
 
from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records:
 
Charles JOHNSTON, aged 88 years, widower, laborer, died Jun 17 1892,
dropsy; son of David and Sarah JOHNSTON; born in Ireland; lived on
Morningside Road; burial in Homewood Cemetery on Jun 20 1892.

A review of census records notes that his wife is Mary Ann (born in
Canada) with known children Mary, Thomas, Sarah, Fergus, Fannie and
John George. They resided in Armstrong and Butler counties prior to
moving to Allegheny County.
