Jones died at 5.40 a.m., Sunday, at the residence of daughter, Mrs. R. W. Cunningham, 1301 Fourth avenue, of pneumonia, after an illness of several days. He was born in Harrisburg Feb. 24, 1849, was a retired carpenter for the P.R.R. company and has resided in Pittsburgh for 44 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and the Junior Order United American Mechanics. He is survived by his wife and two sons and four daughters: John H., Russell A., Mrs. Myrtle Welsh, Lulu F. Reed and Miley Ebersberger, all of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Olive Cunningham of this city. The body will be taken to Pittsburgh this morning where the funeral will be held at a time to be announced later. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, November 25, 1918
