He spent the greater part of his life in Cherrytree, this county. Mr. Keirn was a remarkably active old gentleman, and when in his 84th year walked from Altoona to Cherrytree and back again. He is survived by a posterity consisting of 350 souls. His remains were interred at East Ridge, Cambria county. Henry, his youngest son, whose home is in Allegheny, attended his father's funeral, returning afterwards to the home of his brother, Abram, at East Ridge. A few hours after Henry's arrival at the house his niece went out into the back yard and found him dead upon the ground. It is thought his death was produced through emotion over the death of his father. He was aged 55 years.
