Born Nov. 5, 1898 in Pittsburgh he was the sone of William B. and Lenore Bell Kirby. He was retired from National Electric, Ambridge, where he had worked as a millwright. A veteran of World War I, he had served in the Cavalry and was a member of the Evans City VFW Post. Surviving are his wife, Agnes Herda Kirby; six daughters, Mrs. Lenora Goehring of Mars, R.D. 1, Mrs. Jean Lindner of Pittsburg, Miss Agnes Kirby and Mrs Delores Popovich both of Evans City R.D. 1, Mrs. Nancy West of McKees Rocks, and Mrs. Carol Gaudiello of Evans City R.D. 1, four sons Walter Kirby of Detroit, Mich., Harry of Rochester, PA., and James and Thomas bother of Evans City R.D. 1; 21 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Friends of Walter Kirby of Evans City R.D. 1 who died Sunday, Sept. 21 1969 will be received at the William H. McDonald Funeral Home, Mars. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home with the Rev. Harol Zook, pastor of Dutilh Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memoral Park.
