(under an article titled, Echoes of the Night) from The Pittsburgh Press dated Thursday, June 11, 1896 (page 11): Verdicts in the following cases were returned by the coroner's jury this morning: Leonard KRAFT, age 26, killed by engine in Shoenberger's mill yesterday, accidental death. (under an article titled, Work for the Coroner) from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Leonard KRAFT, age 26 years, married, brakeman, died June 10, 1896, crushed on the railroad at Shoenberger Mill yard; son of John and Charlotte KRAFT, both of Germany; born in Germany; lived at 1429 Penn Avenue; burial in Allegheny Cemetery on June 12, 1896. The Allegheny Cemetery site notes a Leonard KRAFT burial in Section 35, Lot E, Grave 393. Census and city directories suggest that his wife is the former Mary CHARLES with children Freda, Charlotte, and Evelyn.
