Mr. John KRESS, aged 68 years, who for the past 30 years, lived 
on Mrs. Sadie CROOKS' farm near Santiago, was kicked in the stomach by his 
horse on Saturday afternoon, March 15th. Mr. KRESS lived until Sunday 
evening, when he was called to a better home. Being a very devoted and 
loving father and husband, he will be greatly missed by his family, 
neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 
his home and interment was in the Robinson Run cemetery. Mr. KRESS leaves 
his widow and ten children to mourn his loss; seven daughters and three 
sons. One so has just arrived in New York from overseas and is expected to 
arrive home in the near future.
