from The Pittsburgh Press dated Saturday, June 10, 1893 (page 1):
 
J C KU-N, of Wilkinsburg, while attempting to make a coupling last
night at Southwest junction, was caught between the cars and killed.
The inquest in this case was adjourned until tomorrow (...) (under an
article titled, Those Railroad Fatalities)
 
 
from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records:
 
J C COON, age 28 years, married, railroad flagman, died June 9, 1893
at West Penn Hospital from railroad injuries; lived in Wilkinsburg;
parents listed as unknown; burial in a London PA cemetery on June 11,
1893
 
 
A John C KUHN, flagman, appears in Pittsburgh city directories (1890, 1891).
