Hilbert E. Libengood, of Aspinwall, son of the late William and Mary Jane
(McCurdy) Libengood, of Strangford, died suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 6:30
pm. He is survived by his widow, Rhoda Forsha Libengood, and the following
children: Mrs. Twyla Redpath at home, Mrs. Norma Worthington of Erie, Evelyn at
home and Karl of Aspinwall. The following brothers also survive: William, of
Nebraska; George and Lloyd of Alliance, Ohio; and Samuel R., of Harmarville, Pa.
Four grandchildren also survive. Mr. Libengood was a member of the Brotherhood
of Railroad Trainmen and a member of the Methodist Church at Aspinwall. Funeral
services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 o'clock from the Moore Funeral Home in
Aspinwall by the Methodist minister of that place. Interment will be in the
Blairsville Cemetery, the body arriving in Blairsville about 3:30 P. M. with the
Rev. J. N. Hempstead conducting a short prayer service at the grave. The
Libengoods were former residents here.
