LYTLE passed peacefully away at his home on Hastings avenue. For the past year Dr. LYTLE has been in poor health, and during the past few months had been at the Mayo sanitorium, and a sanitorium in Kansas City, Mo., and spent some time with his brother, Dr. C. R. LYTLE of McPherson, Kansas, coming home four weeks ago. His many friends knew of his serious condition but yet hope was entertained for his recovery. About twenty-three years ago Dr. LYTLE came to Oakdale and opened up a dental office in the old Armory hall, where he remained until our First National Bank building was erected in 1905, and at that time he secured offices on the second floor of the bank building which he held at the time of his death. Dr. LYTLE was held in high esteem in this community, being a member and an elder in the United Presbyterian church, and a member of the Oakdale school board. He was a good moral man and an example of uprightness and everything for the betterment of the town and people. He had many friends--people came from miles around to have him do their dental work. The community has lost one of its best citizens, and his name shall live forever with us. "He is gone, but not forgotten." Dr. LYTLE was married to Miss Anna MCGILL, and to this union was born three children, two girls and one boy. The funeral services were held at his late home, Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. R. MCMUNN. Interment was in the Oakdale cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
