from The Pittsburgh Press dated Tuesday, February 25, 1896 (page 9):
 
Barbara MARTIN, aged 25 years, wife of William C MARTIN, died at 2:30
yesterday afternoon at her home, No. 8 Manhattan street, Allegheny.
The funeral services will be held at Emmanuel P E church tomorrow
afternoon.
 
from the Allegheny City Death Records:
 
Barbara MARTIN, aged 24 years 3 months 14 days, married, housekeeper,
died February 24, 1896; parents John A and Elizabeth; born in
Poughkeepsie NY; lived at 8 Manhattan Street; burial in Highwood
Cemetery on February 26, 1896.
 
NOTES: From census listings, possible that her birth surname was
STEWART and may have had son Edward L.
