Mrs. Eva S. MATCHETT, aged 65 years, died at her home at Candor, 
Monday, January 30, after a lingering illness. She was a daughter of Samuel 
GIBB and taught school in early life. At the age of 25 she was married to 
Madison MATCHETT, who died 35 years ago. She had been a member of the 
Raccoon Presbyterian church at Candor more than 39 years. She is survived 
by no relatives nearer than cousins. Funeral services were held in the 
Raccoon Presbyterian church, Thursday, February 2, in charge of Rev. Dr. 
KERR. Interment was in Candor cemetery.
