(under an article titled, Echoes of the Night) from The Pittsburgh Press dated Sunday, August 29, 1897 (page 2): M'CAULLEY - Suddenly, on Friday, August 27, 1897, at 8:30 pm, John, son of James and Isabella McCAULLEY, aged 23 years. Funeral from the residence of his parents, No. 42 Bigelow street, on Sunday, August 29, at 2 pm. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend; also Iron City lodge, No. 179, B of R T. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: John McCAULLEY, age 23 years, single, railroad man, died August 27, 1897, instantly killed on the Mon Con Railroad; son of James and Isabella McCAULLEY, both of Ireland; born in Pittsburgh; lived at 42 Bigelow Street; burial in Homewood Cemetery on August 29, 1897.
