There were no marks of foul play on the body. Coroner T. R. H. JOHNSON came down from Washington and impaneled a jury consisting of J. S. JOHNSTON, W. B. MOORHEAD, A. D. WILSON, W. J. SMITH, D. R. MCNARY, and J. M. SMITH, who after viewing the body and hearing testimony rendered a verdict that he came to his death by suffocation caused by falling in such a position that he could not get his breath, while intoxicated.
