MRS. MARTHA M'DOWELL.

  Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Shafer have returned from Pittsburg, where they 
attended the funeral of Mrs. Shafer's sister, Mrs. Martha McDowell.  
She died Wednesday morning and interment was made Friday.  Deceased was 
aged 24 years and was the wife of D. C. McDowell, of the Pittsburg 
Post.  She was a member of the Christian church and is survived by her 
husband and two children.
