Mr. MCGEE was born at Westfield, New York, May 14, 1885 and came to McDonald with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank MCGEE. Mr. MCGEE for the past two years had resided at McKeesport but had secured work with parties who were drilling a test well for oil near Scranton, Pa. and while at his work had gone up on the derrick to adjust something when he lost his balance, falling a distance of 40 feet, causing his death. The MCGEE family are well known in McDonald, having resided at what is known as the Turntable since coming to McDonald. The father, Mr. Frank MCGEE died just two months ago. Mr. MCGEE was a fine young man and his many friends were shocked at the news of his death. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Frank MCGEE and two brothers, William, of Fellows, California, and Charles, of Tarentum, Pa. The remains were brought to the home of Miss Bridget MCCAFFREY in East Lincoln avenue on Sunday morning. Funeral services were held in St. Alphonsus' church on Tuesday morning, August 30 at 10:30 o'clock. Interment was at Noblestown.
