Funeral services will be held at the late home on Saturday afternoon *************************************************************** Taken from McDonald Pa Outlook 12 Apr 1919 The funeral services of Mrs. Jackson MCGILL were held at her late residence on Hastings avenue, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. R. MCMUNN of the United Presbyterian church. Mrs. MCGILL was born at Battle Ridge, South Fayette Township, April 27, 1852. She was the daughter of John and Achsah JACKSON. On June 20th, 1872 she was united in marriage to William John MCGILL, at her home on Battle Ridge. After her marriage, they lived on the MCGILL farm near Greggs until about seventeen years ago when they moved to their home on Hastings avenue. Mrs. MCGILL was a charter member of Oakdale, always faithful and loyal to her religious duties. On February 4th, Mrs. MCGILL was stricken with a paralytic stroke and hovered between life and death until April 3rd when God called her home. She is survived by her husband, William John MCGILL, her son, Oliver and two grandchildren, of Greggs, Pa., and one brother, John JACKSON, of Greenleaf, Kansas. Mrs. MCGILL was always ready and willing to help those who needed help and many friends morn the loss. The bereaved friends have the sincere sympathy of the community in their sorrow. *Oakdale column
