MCGUGIN, a widely known and highly respected woman of this place, died at her home here last night at 7:30 o'clock following an illness due to her advanced years. Mrs. MCGUGIN was a daughter of Andrew and Eleanor Wilson DONALDSON and was born in Croscreek (sic) township January 5, 1840. She was a member of Mt. Prospect Presbyterian church and one of its most active workers, being a teacher in the Sunday school and a leader in mission work. Her efforts on behalf of the church had gained her a wide acquaintance in Washington county. Two children survive, Mrs. Vinta PAUL and James A. MCGUGIN, of Woodrow. She leaves two brothers, J. M. K. DONALDSON of Hickory, and William W. DONALDSON of Houston. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. A. F. ALEXANDER. Interment was in the Mt. Prospect cemetery.
