Tuesday evening, at Walker's Mills, two intoxicated men, John MCGUIRE, 
a coal miner, and Charles SHANNON, a quarryman, engaged in a sparring 
match and MCGUIRE was knocked over a barrel and died in a few minutes.  
Whether it was a fight or a friendly boxing match is uncertain.  
SHANNON was lodged in jail in Pittsburg to await the action of a 
coroner's jury and possibly that of a grand jury and a petit jury 
to try him for murder.
