Mr. MCIVER was born in County Tyrone, Ireland and had been a resident of this country for 52 years, being well known throughout this community and having many friends who were sorry to learn of his death. He received his education in Ireland and followed the and farmer during his life time. (sic) In 1884 he was married to Miss H. S. MCCLUSKY who died many years ago and in 1895 was married again to Miss E. M. DODDS, who still survives. Mr. MCIVER was a man of very quiet nature but was well liked by all who knew him. He was a friend of everybody. He was a member of the session of the Oakdale United Presbyterian church, also a member of the session of the Noblestown United Presbyterian church and superintendent of the Sabbath school of the same church. He was Road Supervisor of North Fayette Township for several years. The funeral services were held at his late home on Wednesday, September 21st, conducted by Rev. W. R. MCMUNN and assisted by Rev. W. C. CLELAND, Dr. RITCHIE and Rev. MOOSE. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and three children, Robert W., Ernest D., and Jane Lucille, all at home. Interment was made in the Oakdale cemetery. The MCIVER family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in their late sorrow. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. Samuel DODDS, Butler, Pa.; Mr. L. G. DODDS and daughter Mary, Beaver; Mr. and Mrs. Lew MCKAINE, Bellevue; Miss Sue DODDS, McKeesport; Mrs. Verna MCCLEARY, Beechview; Dr. Walter MCCLEARY, North Side, Pittsburgh; Mrs. A. LEIGHT and Mr. Harvey LEIGHT, Glenshaw.
