All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/ ________________________________________________ from The Pittsburgh Gazette Times dated Thursday, March 24, 1910: Mrs MARY A W MENOLD Mrs Mary Ann WINEBIDDLE MENOLD, aged 96, a member of the one of the oldest families in the East End, died yesterday morning at her residence, 223 North Highland avenue. Mrs MENOLD was born in the old Winebiddle homestead in Penn avenue, opposite the Allegheny cemetery, April 11, 1814, and had lived all her life in Pittsburgh. She was a daughter of Philip and Susan NEGLEY WINEBIDDLE, a cousin of Mrs Thomas MELLON, and also a relative of the ROUP family. Her husband, Henry MENOLD, died in 1877. Mrs MENOLD lived at North Highland and Penn avenues for many years, but removed to her late residence, 223 North Highland avenue, 17 years ago. She was the last surviving charter member of the East Liberty Presbyterian church. Mrs MENOLD leaves one son, Lafayette MENOLD of Wilkinsburg; one daughter, Mrs S M TEETER; a brother, William WINEBIDDLE of Rural avenue, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
