Sometime in October 1892, no date was visible on the newspaper  McDonald PA Record

On Oct. 7, 1892, Walter MERRYMAN died at his home in McDonald.

On April 25, 1891, Mr. MERRYMAN was severely injured by the 
falling of slate while at work in the Jumbo mine.  Since that 
time he has been an invalid, death resulting from the hurt.  
During his sickness he was happy and contented to wait the 
will of his Master.  He leaves a wife and three little 
children to mourn him.
