  COL. JOHN MURPHY.
  
    Colonel John Murphy, aged 85 years, well known in this city, died at his 
  home in Pittsburg last week of senility.  He was a veteran business man, 
  being in the funeral directors supply business and a prominent coal operator 
  of western Pennsylvania.  During the war of the rebellion he served with the 
  85th and the 168th Pennsylvania infantry.
