The engine was backing on to a side track and O'HARA stepped right in front of it and it was close upon him before he noticed it. An inquest was held by Alderman Lohrman and a verdict of accidental death was rendered. The deceased was 24 years old and boarded at 85 Franklin street. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Ambrose O'HARA, age 24 years, single, car inspector, died November 28, 1882, run over by a locomotive on B&O RR between the PCStL Railroad and Ross street; born in Ireland; lived at 35 Franklin Street; burial in St Mary's Cemetery on November 29, 1882.
