His death caused considerable alarm among others who attended the festival, but no other cases of sudden illness have been reported. from the Allegheny City Death Records: David ORR, aged 18 years, single, cutter in cork factory, died February 6, 1897, cholera morbus; son of David and Susan ORR (both of Scotland); born in Pittsburgh; lived at 3455 Ligonier Street; burial in Allegheny Cemetery on February 9, 1897. The Allegheny Cemetery site notes the burial in Section 17, Lot A, Grave 68. There is also another David ORR noted buried in this grave plot who died in 1894. There was a David ORR who died December 8, 1894, in a foundry accident; a news article notes that this David was a widower with three children (death record notes that he was born in Scotland and interred in Allegheny Cemetery).
