Presbyterian banner. (Pittsburgh, Pa.) 1860-1898: February 4, 1863
Died on December 1st, 1862, Mrs. Mary J., wife of Mr. William Power, of Elizabeth
Twp., in the 39th year of her age. Mrs. Power was a member of the Presbyterian
Church. Her walk and conversation were most exemplary, while her kindness of heart
and gentleness of manner had greatly endeared her to all who knew her. A life spent
in the faithful discharge of Christian duty, and a living faith on the Son of God,
gave abundant hope of a happy resurrection. She leaves behind an affectionate
husband and five children to mourn her departure; but their loss, we doubt not, is
her everlasting gain.
