Although in retirement for several years. Mr Parks had been in apparent good health before his entry into the hospital. A native of Karns City, Mr Parks moved to Indian territory in 1902 and in November 1910 he married Abbie Blake Garrison who survives. Their entire married life was spent in the Bartlesville community. During his early life Mr Parks followed oil field developments near Bartlesville as a drilling contractor. He was an associate of the Phillips Petroleum Company before World War 2 and was employed by the Douglas Aircraft Company, Tulsa, Okla. during the war He was a former business partner of T.W. Phillips of Butler his retirement came in 1945. Surviving are his widow a daughter Mrs V.J. Quick of Great Bend Kan, three brothers James L Parks and Fred Parks of West Sunbury and William Parks of Lexington, KY and a granddaughter.
