He was dead when picked up, death having been due to shock. Alexander with several other boys had been climbing in the tree, through which the wires of the West Penn Electric company pass. Insulation had been rubbed from one of the wires, by contact with a branch of the tree, and it is believed the boy touched the naked wire, forming a short circuit. Dr. J. M. MOORE was summoned and pronounced the boy dead when he arrived. Alexander was a leader in his circle of friends and was admired by all who knew him. His sudden demise cast a gloom over the entire community. He was born September 23, 1906. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Misses Stella and Emma, at home. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Dr. R. W. NAIRN, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church and Rev. THOMPSON, pastor of the M. E. church of Midway. Interment was in the Center cemetery at Midway.
