MARY PETERSON

  Mrs. Mary Peterson, 84, of 548 Sixth Ave., died yesterday 
in McKeesport Hospital.  Born in County Galway, Ireland, Oct. 
29, 1885, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna 
McDonough Farmer.
  Widow of Clyde B. Peterson, she is survived by son, Robert, 
with whom she resided; daughter, Mrs. Ann Beuten of McKeesport; 
sisters, Mrs. Margaret Kennedy of Youngstown, O., Mrs. Catherine 
Ashoff of Homestead Park and Mrs. Brigid Corcoran of White Oak; 
three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in Hunter-Edmundson-
Striffler Funeral Home.  The Rev. Philip Gallagher will conduct 
requiem mass at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Peter Church where Mrs. 
Peterson was a member.  Interment will follow in St. Mary's German 
Cemetery.
