Mrs PIPER was 26 years of age and had hosts of friends. from The Pittsburg Dispatch dated Thursday, August 1 1889 (page 5): PIPER - On Monday evening, July 29 1889, at 9:45 pm, Emma L A HUEGLI, wife of Gustav A PIPER, aged 26 years, 1 month, 25 days. Funeral from her late residence, Ben Venue, on Thursday, August 1, at 2 pm. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Emma PIPER, aged 26 years, married, died July 29 1889, typhus abdominalis; born in Detroit, Michigan; father from Germany, mother from US; lived at Maripoe Street, 20th Ward; burial in Allegheny Cemetery on August 1 1889. NOTES: Allegheny Cemetery site notes burial in Section 17, Grave 98. 1900 Census notes that she may have had children Theodore and Charlotte. Her parents appear to be John and Catherine HUEGLI of Detroit MI.
