A former judicial system secretary, she was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne, Court Duquesne 871, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild of St. Joseph Church in Duquesne. Mrs. Pope was a former member of the Republican Women’s Club in Duquesne. Born in Duquesne, Sept. 5, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Orris and the wife of the late Peter P. Pope. She is survived by children, Jean Pope-Boyle of Rochester., Gerard (Skip) Pope of Torrance, Calif., and Barry Pope of San Bernardino, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home, Inc., Duquesne, Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of a blessing at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Hedwig worship site with the Rev. Dennis Colamarino as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin. The family has suggested memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation.
