The following were among the victims of that accident. ** from The Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette dated Monday, October 11, 1880 (page 1): Annie QUINN, aged twenty-four years, died last night from the effects of inhaling the steam. She was employed at Shady Side in the family of a gentleman named REESE. Her relatives live at Braddocks, and she is a cousin of Rose McCABE, who was sitting in the same seat with her, and who was also fatally injured in the wrecked coach. Yesterday her mother and other relatives visited her at the hospital. from The Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette dated Tuesday, October 12, 1880 (page 4): The funeral of Harry W BLACK, the only son of John W and Sarah L BLACK, will take place at his late home at Swissvale on Wednesday at 2 pm. Carriages will leave Devore's on Grant street at 12:30. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Henry W BLACK, age 19 years 5 months, single, clerk, died October 10, 1880; son of John W and Sarah BLACK; born in Pittsburgh; lived in Swissvale; burial in Allegheny Cemetery on October 13, 1880. (The Allegheny Cemetery site notes a Harry W BLACK buried in Section 19, Lot 116.) Rose McCABE, age 24 years, single, died October 11, 1880; born in Phoenixville, Chester County, PA; lived in Etna Borough; burial in St Mary's Cemetery on October 13, 1880. Anna QUINN, age 24 years, single, domestic, died October 10, 1880; born in Ireland; lived in Pittsburgh; burial in Braddocks Cemetery on October 13, 1880.
