(Pittsburgh, Pa.): March 02, 1864 Died at, 2 o'clock and 40 minutes in the morning of Feb. 5th, 1864, Capt. David H. Rhodes, of M'Keesport, Pa. He was drowned off his burning boat, the “Robert E. Lee," at Louisville, Ky., and the body being found by his father on the evening of Feb. 19th, was brought home and interred from his late residence, Feb. 25th, in the M'Keesport and Versailles Cemetery. The boat took fire from the burning of another, and finding that he could not save his own boat, he jumped into the water. He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian church, M'Keesport, Pa. He was aged 35 years, 6 months and 14 days. A wife and four children, with many other relatives and friends, mourn his loss.
