ROBINSON of Oakdale, when the automobile which he was driving was struck by a fast passenger train on the Pennsylvania railroad at the Oakdale crossing Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock resulted in the boy's death at 5:30 o'clock that night in a Pittsburgh hospital. The boy was almost squarely on the tack when struck by the train, which was running late. He was thrown a considerable distance clear of the car. He was picked up unconscious and bleeding profusely, placed on a train and rushed to a Pittsburgh hospital. His skull was fractured, an arm broken, and his body covered with severe bruises. Transfusion of blood was tried in a vain effort to save young ROBINSON's life. His brother George, aged 32 years, submitted to the operation to furnish the blood required and it was transfused into the boy, but failed to give the desired results. He sank rapidly until his death. The machine, which was completely demolished, belonged to J. SIROSKI, a grain dealer, for whom the boy worked after school hours. At he crossing where the accident occurred a watchman is stationed and there is also a danger bell that rings when a train is approaching. In spite of these warnings the boy rode onto the track to his death. Besides the parents, two brothers, George and Robert, and a sister, Nita, survive.
