The suspects who were taken into custody about 6 o'clock Thursday evening by state troopers of Burgettstown and Sam SALVATORE and Blaztricci NASZGINO, both of that place. Two more arrests are expected. SALVATORE and NASZGINO were moved to the lockup at Midway. A particular feature of the case is that a weapon discovered under the porch of the BIANTI store belonged to ROSI himself. When found, it was thought by the officers that the revolver belonged to the slayer of ROSI. ROSI was shot twice through the heart as he stepped from the BIANTI store Thursday morning at 4:15. His death occurred instantly. When the shots were fired no attention was paid to them, and it was an hour later when miners going to work stumbled across the body. Two gold watches and $125 in cash which ROSI carried had not been touched. A 32-caliber revolver and a large knife were found under the porch in front of the store. Early in November BIANTI and John MELONI, proprietor of a pool room and moving picture show, and regarded as the wealthiest foreigners in Bulger received letters demanding that that place $1,000 on the McKeesport bridge. They refused to comply and notified the police. A second letter was received but no attention paid to it. On November 27 both received letters stating that the money need not be deposited, as the writers of the letters had decided to kill BIANTI and MELONI and their families instead. ROSI roomed with BIANTI.
