The Cumberland News, Cumberland, Allegany, Maryland
The Cumberland News Friday 16 Sept 1966 Robert E. Ross Turtle Creek, Pa.  A 
requiem mass was held at St. Coleman's Catholic Church for Robert E. Ross, 61, 
former resident of Midland, who died in a Somerset hospital, after suffering a 
heart attack on the Pennsylvania turnpike.  Officiating was Rev. Joachim David 
McBriar, a nephew of Mr. Ross.  Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.  He is 
survived by his widow, Nellie (Nolan) Ross, and three sons, Robert, James, and 
Joseph Ross. 

Additional Comments:
Cumberland and Midland are in Allegany County, Maryland.  Robert is the son of 
Robert and Helen (Nolan) ROSS of Allegany County, Maryland.

Additional Comments:
I suspected that this obituary was incorrect with regard to his widow's name.  
I received the death certificate today, and, as I had suspected, Helen aka 
Nellie (NOLAN) ROSS was his mother, not his wife. His widow, Marie (HORBATH) 
ROSS, was the informant.  Also, the death certificate shows his middle initial 
as "J".
