from The Pittsburgh Press dated Wednesday, August 1 1888  (page 2):

A SUDDEN DEATH  -  Dolly RUDOLPH, aged about 35 years, died suddenly
this morning at No. 21 Old avenue.  The body was removed to the morgue
where an inquest will be held this evening.

from The Pittsburgh Press dated Thursday, August 2 1888  (page 4):

The inquest on the death of Maud S RUDOLPH, 26 years of age, who died
at noon yesterday at 21 Old avenue, resulted in a verdict of heart
failure and excessive alcoholism.


from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records:

Maud S RUDOLPH, aged 26 years, widowed, died August 1 1888, rupture of
heart and excessive alcoholism; born in Pittsburgh; lived at 21 Old
Avenue; burial in Bellevue Cemetery on August 2 1888.

NOTES:
Bellevue Cemetery is now known as Highwood Cemetery.
