  Marie Scatena
  
  Funeral Services for Marie C. Scatena, 87, of Corinth, formerly of Tishomingo 
  County and Counce, Tenn., are set for 11 a.m.  today at McPeters Funeral Home 
  Chapel with Danny Lowery delivering the eulogy.  Burial will be in Oak Grove 
  Cemetery in Iuka.
  
  Mrs. Scatena died Monday Dec. 25th, 2006, at MS Care Center in Corinth.  She 
  was a native of Pittsburgh, born July 15, 1919, to Harry and Mary Beatty.  She 
  moved south in 1983, living in Tishomingo County, Counce, Tenn.  and Corinth.  
  She was an avid caregiver of animals and birds and enjoyed growing plants.  
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Frances Dowell; three 
  sons, Guy "Butch" Scatena, Frankie "Buttons" Scatena and Thomas Scatena.  
  
  Survivors include one son, Samuel Scatena of Counce, Tenn.; one daughter, 
  Loretta Marsh, of Iuka; one sister Amanda Goodman of West Palm Beach, Fl.; and 
  nine grandchildren, Dennis P. McHugh, Terrilynn M. Walston, Patti Ann Banach, 
  Debbie Scatena, Thomas Scatena, George C. March, Tracey Welch, Guy "Butch" 
  Scatena, and Kristin Scatena.  
  
  Memorials may be made to the Corinth/Alcorn County Humane Society, 3825 Proper 
  St. Corinth, Ms. 38834.
  
  Visitation was held Wednesday at the funeral home.
