John Alexander Scott, one of the best known colored men of 
McDonald, died at his home in East Lincoln avenue, on Friday morning, at 
12:10 o'clock. He was aged 55 years. Mr. SCOTT had lived in McDonald for 
the past 35 years. He was twice married. Besides his widow he leaves three 
children. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church Sunday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
