The train was doing some shifting and SIBERT had thrown the switch and signaled the engineer to come ahead. After the switch had been made SIBERT was missed. The train crew made a hunt for him and found one of his shoes sticking fast in the frog and a little further on they found his mangled body. It is supposed that after he gave the signal his foot had been caught in the frog and before he could release himself the train had struck him. SIBERT was 25 years old, single and resided at Redbank.
