No person witnessed the death, but shortly after, his dead body was found, lying on a pile of iron upon which he had fallen. There is a little scar on the back of his head, the result of his fall on the iron. Deputy Coroner G. Lippert was in McKeesport today attending to the case. Mr. Sigrist was born in Switzerland, but came to America 32 years ago, settling at first in Connellsville. For the past 25 years he had resided in the McKeesport district and had been an employe of the Wood mill. Of late, he had been absent from work because of illness, but he resumed his work yesterday, after an absence of two weeks, due to lumbago. As he was employed on the night turn, he left his home in Otto late yesterday afternoon, bidding a cherry good-bye to his wife. And last night about 12 o'clock, the sad news of his death was brought to his bereaved wife and children. He had been seen 10 minutes before death occurred, evidently in the best of spirits. Doctors McCune and Blose were called, but medical aid was of no use when they arrived, as he was dead. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catharine Sigrist; two sons, William and Leo, at home. He was a member of McKeesport Comclave 81, Improved Order of Hoptasophs, and of St. Mary's R.C. church, where the funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be made at St. Mary's cemetery.
