SLATER and Gertrude HELLINGS SLATER. He was fourteen years, one month and eight days old, born May 19, 1907. At the age of four months he was taken seriously ill with scarlet fever, which was followed by la grippe, meningitis and whooping cough, this leaving him in a weakened condition, and from that time he has been an invalid. Owing to the great care he required his parents became over attached to him. Wayne was a beautiful child, but suffered greatly all his life. The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. W. D. LEWIS, and assisted by Rev. W. R. MCMUNN. *Oakdale column
