The remains were interred in the Beulah cemetery. He was about 30 years of age and leaves a wife and five children. (found under the Wilkinsburg Wrinkles column) from City of Pittsburgh Death Records: John STOCKMAN, 30 years, married, laborer, died February 6 1890, pneumonia, parents of Germany, born in Pittsburgh, lived on First Street, Homewood; burial in Beulah Cemetery on February 8 1890. NOTES: >From census, children appear to be Minnie, George, Magdalena, John and Lizzie. He was noted as being born about 1853. His widow, Philomena, would remarry to George GANDER but appears to have passed away prior to the 1900 Census. Parents may be Andrew and Elizabeth STOCKMAN, both from Germany.
