from The Pittsburgh Gazette dated Saturday, September 13, 1902:
 
A man, supposed, by papers found on his body, to be Joseph SUKS of 
No. 41 Buchanan street, Allegheny, was struck and killed by a 
shifting engine on the West Penn railroad at Pine street at 5:50 
last evening. He stopped to light his pipe, on the railroad crossing.
