The Mercury - December 27, 1820
Gen. Adamson Tannehill, in the 74th year of his age.  On Sunday, his remains 
were interred in the family burying ground, with military honours.  The 
general attendance of the citizens and the solemnity of the scene clearly 
manifested the high degree of respect and affection which was entertained for 
this venerable and distinguished citizen.

Gen. Adamson Tannehill is interred in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, 
Pennsylvania, Section 11
