from The Pittsburgh Press dated Thursday, August 5, 1897 (page 4):
 
Charles TAYLOR, an Englishman, died yesterday afternoon at the West
Penn hospital, the result of having had both legs cut off on the
panhandle railroad on Tuesday. He was riding through the Burgettstown
tunnel and fell from the train.
 
 
from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records:
 
Charles TAYLOR, age 35 years, single, laborer, died August 4, 1897, in
West Penn Hospital, run over by the PC&StL Railroad; born in England;
burial in Highwood Cemetery on August 6, 1897.
